It is almost more than I can create comments about. I had thought GWB was King of Nitwits about Islam, but I was being too insular (pun intended).
Blair - The Qur’an "is practical and way ahead of its time"
The Prime Minister during his speech "Not a clash between civilisations, but a clash about civilisation" ... included his praise of the Holy Qur’an.
"The most remarkable thing about reading the Koran – in so far as it can be truly translated from the original Arabic - is to understand how progressive it is.
"I speak with great diffidence and humility as a member of another faith. I am not qualified to make any judgements. But as an outsider, the Koran strikes me as a reforming book, trying to return Judaism and Christianity to their origins, rather as reformers attempted with the Christian Church centuries later. It is inclusive. It extols science and knowledge and abhors superstition. It is practical and way ahead of its time in attitudes to marriage, women and governance," he said.
Blair's remarks about the Koran take me back to post 9-11-01 when I bought and read my first Koran. Before I could finish the volume, it was crystal clear that this was a manual for war, that the followers of the Koran were bloodthirsty murders, and that anyone who lived by the tenets of this book had to belong to that unique group of humans: The Most Boring People on Earth.

This is the epitomy of ass kissing, he does not have a clue. I wonder who told him that? He could not have read the damn thing and come up with that load of malarky.
Prince Charles is making even more moronic statements. I just hope that they are overlooked as much as his face should be.

GWB and TB are the highest elected officials of the two most powerful and advanced countries on earth. Yet they are complete ignorami about a body of ideologues who have proclaimed their desire to destroy the countries of TB and GWB, and have gone about it, globally.
Yet, these two keep giving their destroyers blank checks and get-out-of-jail cards.
Can we (and they) find the right kind of leadership before we have to engage in combat in our own neighborhoods with these ideologues?
I'll say it again (another Beamishism, collect them all!)
The President can say Islam tastes good with a beer all he wants as long as we're killing terrorists.
