One CAIR Bit That I Missed
How the hell did I let this one fly past me?
From CAIR:
ISLAM-BASHER TO APPEAR ON C-SPAN
ACTION ALERT: Robert Spencer, the publisher of "Jihad Watch," will appear Sunday, August 20, on a PRE-TAPED C-SPAN "Q&A" segment.
In his book "Guide for Catholics," http://watchjihadwatch.blogspot.com/2006/05/bias.html
"Islam itself is an incomplete, misleading, and often downright false revelation which, in many ways, directly contradicts what God has revealed through the prophets of the Old Testament and through his Son Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh.. . .For several reasons. . .Islam constitutes a threat to the world at large.
The subtitle of Spencer's forthcoming book claims Islam is "the World's Most Intolerant Religion."
Please watch the program and then contact C-SPAN to express your concerns about the network's decision to provide air-time to someone whose website promotes bigotry and hatred.

Since I missed this one, I'll have to be doubly vigilant next time. I wouldn't want one of those "Islam bashers" to get to speak their piece on a TV network, especially a network like the C-SPAN channels which pretty much provide air-time to anyone who has written a book or is a member of our government. They show everyone. They hit you with an hour of Cindy Sheehan on a book tour and then let you calm down again a bit by bringing on someone like, well, Robert Spencer. They don't keep anyone off the air based on political bias, especially on C-SPAN2 and BookTV. And don't tempt me, I already know because I'm a enough of a geek to watch these shows.
But yes, CAIR, next time I will "watch the program" and then immediately express my concerns about the network's decision to give air-time to scholars and not cave in to the usual old SCAIR tactics.

Let's hope that "Dougie" Hooper's posting brings out more apostates that realize that they are members of the most crybaby political ideaology ever. I refuse to call Islam a religion.
